Pastoral Council Meeting Minutes
June 20, 2007

Vince Hurley called the meeting to order at 7:40 pm.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as corrected
Parish Plan: The Proposed Parish Plan was reviewed, revised and was unanimously approved by the council. It will be posted on the website and copies will be available in the office.
Drawing:
Musician fund raiser for organ dolly:
Dana Alaga won the guitar and enough money was raised to pay for the dolly
which Vern Silva has ordered.
Watsonville Adult Education Art Drawing for Edie Trotno
Parishioners were very generous in donating money for the drawing tickets
to help Edie with her medical expenses.
Edie's last treatment is tomorrow and surgery will be scheduled next week.
Faith Formation:
RCIA
The RCIA team will give a monthly presentation on different topics concerning
the Catholic faith. The first presentation will be Thursday, June 28.
Discovering Catholic symbolism in the Church and in our parish church.
Vic Suarez will be the presenter.
Faith Formation Committee
Director of Faith Formation will be chairperson for this committee
-This will be a paid part-time position
Events:
Parish BBQ- Sunday, June 3
This was a well attended, enjoyable event
Thanks to Bert and Carrie Salady for chairing the BBQ

Wine Tasting and Auction-Sunday, September 23
Gary Smith is contacting 8 wineries including Storrs and Pleasant Valley .
Ali will design flyers to be placed at the wineries for advertisement
Parish Play- November 16 & 17
Parish Needs List
ADA Bathroom
R& R Construction Co. has begun construction on the unisex bathroom.
The kitchen door didn't have to be moved
The county inspection for the framing has been completed
The workers are very neat and clean and have not disrupted the various operations of the church
Bell Tower
Peter Truman has volunteered to be the intermediary with the Santa Cruz County Planning Department to obtain the permit.
More detailed plans of the foundation are needed from the engineers to complete the permit process.
Sign with Mass times
Gary Smith and Bob Erbe have volunteered to work on this project
AOB
Gabe Suarez will be attending Daniel Webster University in New Hampshire in the fall and will not be able to serve on the council.
Gayle Tosello is moving to southern California and is resigning her position on the council
Parish Council officers will be elected at the September meeting.
