Fr. Joe Grimaldi -
Fr. Joe said that tomorrow, June 19 is move-in day. His last day at the hospital is June 20.
He said that at Mass he challenged the parishioners to add 5 more families to the BAMA by the next week.
Fr. Joe asked if the Pastoral or Finance Council had approved such projects as the Bell Tower and the platforms.
It was agreed that fundraisers need to be on the agenda to be approved before they are presented to the parish.
A fundraiser for the platforms will be deferred until after the discussion in September.
Pastoral Council should be involved in the vision of the church.
We can pool resources with another church but we need to keep our identity.
We are close to Watsonville so should we have a Spanish Mass?
Finance Council Report: Vince Hurley reported that plate collections are down but expenses are down also.  We are about $8,000.00 under budget.  It was asked that the Council receive copies of the financial reports and the budget for 2008-2009.
B.A.M.A.
To date we now have over $27,000 donated by 96 families.
There was discussion about stopping the BAMA drive and concentrate on collecting for the roof
repair, using a different visual, showing how much money we have for the roof including the
second collections, designated donations and BAMA rebate to see exactly how much we need.
Vince will do a presentation at the Masses focusing on the necessity of the roof repair.
Events:

Tickets are still available at the door and in the office.

The Borelli’s had their first meeting and the committee is working on their various          assignments.
Parish Needs List:

The money is in place but the issuing by the County of the Permits is holding up the        construction

Paul Vitali reported that there is one last row of fasteners to be installed to complete the         project.

Paul Vitali is getting estimates for resurfacing the parking lot.
